Nestled in the beauty of the rolling farmland in Northwest Georgia is a wonderland for all your wedding, special events, family functions or church retreats. When you want to come in touch with the beauty of nature, The Home Place is waiting.

The Home Place is a multi-functional event destination, situated on thirty acres of the most beautifully landscaped land. Waterfalls, a fountain in the center of a gorgeous lake, rock gardens, fire pit and outdoor grill name a few of the wonderful features of this paradise.

Our property is named after the Dodd family. The “Home Place” has been reinvented to now include a bridal dressing house and separate pavilion with multiple uses.

Relax and Enjoy Nature's Beauty
Located on the hill top of the property is a cottage which sleeps six and is available for rentals. It is great for a family weekend outing or honeymoon. There is plenty of parking area available. Graduation parties, corporate outings and church events will love this setting. It is convenient to Atlanta and Chattanooga. Only one hour from either direction.

Just recently, Anita Davis has begun managing the property for any event. She has been in the catering, wedding planning, floral designing and director of weddings for over twenty years. She is available to open the property to you at your convenience and quote you the event you are considering.

Every element of The Home Place has its own special natural beauty. We think you will find it breath taking just to walk around and sit by the lake. There is also a beach, for those who want to have that tropical flair to their event.

Every season opens a new and gorgeous chapter to The Home Place. We have beautiful pines and hardwoods and different seasonal plantings. There is no limit to the possibilities you can use on the acreage.

The high lake also makes a beautiful background for photographs, bible studies, or weddings with three waterfalls across the lake and wildflowers always in bloom.
